Abrasion Resistant Polycarbonate is a composite material made by adding a hard coating to the surface of polycarbonate sheets or by co-extrusion. It is mainly used in display panel protection, vehicle windows, safety barriers and high-frequency contact surface coverings.
Product Features
Hard Coating
Abrasion Resistant Polycarbonate is applied to one or both sides of the sheet material using a high-precision spray system. It is then cured by UV light or heat to create a high-hardness protective layer, suitable for use in high-contact or delicate areas.
Coextrusion
The functional layer is simultaneously pressed and molded with the polycarbonate substrate using a continuous coextrusion process, ensuring a secure bond between the layers and preventing delamination while maintaining optical clarity and physical strength.
Lightweight Construction
The unit weight for a 1.5mm thick product is only 1.8kg/m², and for a 10mm thickness it does not exceed 12kg/m². This ensures both strength and impact resistance while significantly reducing weight and transport burden.
